Yes, my friends, I have been to another beautiful locale and bring back tales of foodie bliss. I went to the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival to support a wonderfully talented filmmaker whose feature, Money Matters, was showcased and nominated for the HBO feature film award. The movie was excellent – the best movie of the festival. While I was there, I had the opportunity to visit some great local restaurants and see some cinematic gems from great up and coming independent artists. (more…)

When I started doing research for this article, I only planned to highlight peaches – I have a fantastic peach cobbler recipe from Tyler Florence that I am anxious to try. I ran across an article on peaches and nectarines in the Food section of the LA Times and– the article called them “kissing cousins”. Since there are only small differences between the two fruits (and I haven’t posted a blog in a while), I decided to highlight them both. And anyway, who doesn’t love a sweet nectarine? (more…)
